On Tuesday my friend, her mother, my daughters and I went to
Linville Caverns in the mountains of western North Carolina.

This is the only photograph taken inside the cavern that was not totally blurred. The spider was hanging by a single thread.

This creek flows near the entrance to
Linville Caverns.

The water rushes over rocks in the creek.

This sign warns visitors not to attempt to cross the stream.

A split rock adds interest to the steps that lead to a view of the creek, where I snapped the second picture in this post.

Yellow
Ladyslippers bloom near the entrance to the cave.
